OUR STORY
Built Inside Real Schools. Not a Consulting Firm.
K3 Engagement System was created by someone who actually did this job — not someone who studied it from the outside. Every resource, every protocol, every template was tested in real schools with real families before it became part of the system.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Lanitra Barringer
Founder, K3 Engagement System
Lanitra Barringer spent 15+ years inside Amarillo ISD building family engagement programs from the ground up — not as a consultant parachuting in, but as the person responsible for making it work every single day.
She watched coordinators burn out. She watched programs collapse every summer when the one person holding them together moved on. She watched families disengage because the system wasn't built for them — it was built for compliance reports.
K3 is the system she wished she'd had. It started as a personal toolkit she built to survive the job, and grew into a full operational system after she saw the same problems playing out in schools across the region.
Today, K3 Engagement System serves schools and districts that are ready to stop reinventing the wheel every August — and start building something that actually lasts.
THE ORIGIN
Why K3 Exists
"I kept watching the same thing happen. A coordinator would build something real — real relationships, real events, real trust with families. Then they'd leave, and everything they built left with them. The next person started from scratch. The families noticed. The kids noticed."
— Lanitra Barringer, Founder
K3 started as a personal survival toolkit — a collection of templates, protocols, and planning frameworks that Lanitra built over years of doing the job. When she began sharing them with other coordinators in the region, the response was immediate: this is exactly what we needed. The K3 Engagement System is the formalized, tested version of that toolkit — built to be handed off, scaled, and sustained by any school that picks it up.
OUR MISSION
Every School Deserves a System That Works
Family engagement shouldn't depend on one heroic coordinator working 60-hour weeks. It shouldn't collapse every time someone leaves. And it shouldn't require a grant-funded consultant to get started. K3 exists to give every school — regardless of size, budget, or staff turnover — a sustainable, repeatable system for connecting with families in ways that actually move the needle.
Built for Practitioners
Every resource was designed by someone who did this work — not someone who theorized about it.
Sustainability Over Heroics
The system works because it doesn't depend on any one person. It's designed to survive staff changes.
Families First
Every protocol, template, and touchpoint is designed around what makes families feel genuinely welcomed — not what makes compliance reports look good.
Honest About the Problem
We don't pretend family engagement is easy. We built a system that makes it achievable.
